Illustrator chocolate figure in gold

Hello, this is probably going to be stupid, but maybe someone here will be willing to help me. At work, I mentioned that I sometimes draw something digitally, and suddenly they rushed at me asking if I would do the graphics for next year's Easter collection. Making it normally colored probably isn't such a problem, but for me, a figure that is printed in gold is a problem. They gave me the information what pantone did they use. However, I read that adobe works with pantone only when you purchase pantone, the application/access of which is a problem for many people. Is there any alternative to create a good background for such a print? Alternatively, can I ask for a how-to tutorial, but for a moron? My English is not very good. Thank you very much.

If you need this printed in a Pantone gold metallic, all you need is a spot colour with the correct name and some communication with the printer about their expectations.

If you need it to look like a mockup of a metallic, reflective gold surface, that's a different question.

Probably the first one? They also send me this file in png. Maybe I can just copy the color in cmyk and give info about what result they want to the printer?

A PNG does not sound like a suitable file format. For stuff such as this, the first thing any professional will do is contact the printer and ask them exactly what file specifications they need.
