Illustrator CMYk to Pantone solid-coated color

Is it possible to make a script that will convert all CMYK colors to Pantone solid-coated color? I try to use the Recolor-Artwork option But it's not converting all layers like strokes. Is there any other way of doing this? Or Am I going in the wrong direction? And, is the Recolor-Artwork menu scriptable?

I suppose you want to print it with a spot color. Then RGB document mode is the wrong one.

First get rid of the unnessecary clipping masks.

Select one of them or set Fill and Stroke both to None in the Toolbar an use Select > Same > Fill & Stroke

Delete the 14 paths.

Select Fred & Flo. Recolor Artwork with 1 color and a Pantone Solid library selected will give you PANTONE 877 C.

Repeat for the FSC below, which should give you PANTONE Neutral Black C.

Choose File > Document Color Mode > CMYK

Also: your document is in RGB color mode.

There is no CMYK or black in your document.

It's not pure black but a variant of black.

Why can't Recolor artwork do this for you?

Please show the artwork. Also: Select the parts that don't wro kand show us the appearance panel.

This is the artwork(Main_artwork.ai). After I convert it with Recolor artwork, as you can see from the image (Recolorartwork problem.png) that it's not converting some layers it stays in RGB also it does not convert black colors automatically.

The question with black can be answered simply. You overlooked the tiniest button in the interface.

I don't understand what you mean with "it stays in RGB".
