Illustrator crashes when opening specific file

Hi! I've seen lot's of posts for this but haven't been able to figure it out and I'm on a bit of a time crunch.

Created a file in .ai and will crash every time I try to open it. Ai will open fine to others, it's just this specific file. Trying to figure out if I should scrap it and restart or try to salvage it. Not sure what all info is useful from the error pop but I posted some below if that is helpful in any way.

Please let me know if you need any other info to help, I'm a little new at troubleshooting so forgive my ignorance on this!

For the most part it is probably better to recreate a damaged file since fixing it will always lead to the feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop after it has been recovered. That is, if it was broken before how can I be sure that it's really fixed? That being said here is Adobe's official link for file recovery: How to fix damaged Illustrator files . There are also commercial services that will fix corrupt files for a fee but for a single file it just doesn't seem worth the money.

I don't think that there is anything definitive. I am not a coder but I do know that under the hood all files are just a mass of coded commands. At any time there might be an illegal request that the file simply can't handle. On the more user-friendly side there has always been the possibility that an Illustrator file could corrupt from being too complex but as time has passed and new more powerful versions of the program have come out that has been far rarer than it used to be. Usually there is no good reason that a file corrupts—at least none that makes the grief it causes any easier to deal with.
