Nearly every time I try to save a file since upgrading to Big Sur 11.1, Illustrator crashes.  Is there any work around as this makes in completely impossible to work with the application.  thanks.

Please try and set up a printer. As I mentioned, Illustrator looks for one when saving.

If you don't have a compatible printer, try and set up a PDF printer.

Exactly how do you save the file?

And exactly where?

Since Illustrator pings a printer when saving: is there a printer attached, set up as the default printer and turned on?

I've tried saving it to the adobe cloud and to my local hard drive. I have tried saving through the menu File>Save as well as Control S and even File>Save As. I see the same problem regardless of where I save or how I save.

I have a printer but it is not connected to my iMac as there was an issue with drivers and I've disconnected it. Hope that helps. thanks!

Hi - I was just experienceing this too. Very frustrating. Be sure that you have the latest update from Creative Cloud. Then restart. Hope this helps.

Yep.

I think it might be related to having placed links in the file.
