Illustrator crashing over and over

Ever since Monday 2/16/24 my Illustrator has been crashing. How do I try to fix this? It's showing "(not responding)" pretty much immediately after I open the program. Somtimes the full window doens't even get a chance to open before it crashes. I've tried reverting to the previous version figuring maybe it was the upgrade, no luck. Also tried removing the program altogher and then redownloading. Restarting my computer many times. I shut it down every night as well in general. Windows is always popping up with it's messages letting me know it quit unexpectedly and to try to launch again or report, or sometimes it will automatically report the error and I try to let it do so. Please help! I can't get any work done.

I think it turned out that most of  my issue was coming from some Esko Desk Pack Plug Ins I had installed that I didn't have licenses for. I was only supposed to install one of the plug ins but had them all. So uninstalled those and only selected the PDF import to install and then after the pop up made me log in to Esko, Illustrator has been working more normally again.

Hello @SallyCDD,

We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter crashes in the middle of work. Would you mind trying the suggestions shared in this help article (https://adobe.ly/42HknqB) and checking if it helps?
Also, try performing a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and setting the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (https://adobe.ly/42FGC0g) and sharing your observations.

If the problem persists, kindly submit the crash report using your Adobe email address and share it here for quick tracking. Steps are shared here: (https://adobe.ly/42FGsWI). We appreciate your time and patience in helping us resolve this issue.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Same here, since January I have been getting a lot of crashes. Sometimes it is almost as soon as I open a file, sometimes I would have been working and suddenly it would crash when I do something, and on some lucky days it is nothing. I also reinstalled the app a few weeks ago and had a "temporary relief", but now it is starting again. Today for example it crashed 3 times in a row when I opened the same file before it finally let me do something. I also need help!

Same here! -

Today I couldn't use Illustrator 2024. And it crashes.
Then I opened it again and the program was just "closed". I couldn't do anything. And I tried to close the program and open again 10 times - but the program didn't work. ??
So I had to work with Illustrator 2023 today

Which system is it?

Did you already reboot the system?

Reset the preferences? Which will erase your settings.

Reboot is necessary. Personal computer systems are not made for running 24/7.

And that applies to Macs as well.

Rebooting the system is always the first step in troubleshooting. WHen you do not want to do it, then maybe you are not interested in solving this issue.

Sorry, I have rebooting. But do I have to do it 10 or 20 times a day?

This has happen every day the last 2 to 3 months or so.

Yes, I have reboot,  - but that does not solve the problem.

Al the others program with Adobe works fine. But not Illustrator 2024

Rebooting should not be needed as often as that.

Did the previous version of Illustrator work?

Do you have any third party plugins? Font management?

Is there some specific action that you do that always makes Illustrator crash? Like printing? Or saving?

Also: you are using Sonoma and there are still inexplicable issues with it.

Is that the latest version of Sonoma?
