Illustrator CS3 can't save for web and devices

Is anyone else feeling beyond helpless and angry that they are making people uninstall and reinstall their CS3 software or other versions not on the cloud because they shut down the activation servers??

This is totally immoral. I have owned this software for 10+ years and do not need to upgrade. All my software was working perfectly before Adobe shut down their activation servers last week. Now I am forced to uninstall my softwrae adn reinstall from their link, rendering my disks of the software useless, license useless and I , spent  3 days trying to get answers from them.

Reinstall worked but there are errors so far on my version of Illustrator and chat support won't answer questions, just refer me to this link and you can't get phone support because "it's an old product' and "at the end of it's life". Or to rephrase it ... we want you to upgrade to the overpriced cloud!

Adobe caused these issues by shutting down their activation servers.. okay disconnect us then adn leave us alone with our old software. Why is this my problem. I am lucky I bought the software when I did before they started charging for it monthly.. at a horrifically overpriced rate. Also, since they caused the problem we deserve phone support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adobe is totally corrupt!!!!! Shame on Adobe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Branching to a new discussion.

Kimr2817170 I am sorry you faced difficulties with reinstalling Creative Suite 3.  To confirm you are using the new installation files and serial number available at Download Adobe Creative Suite 3 products ?  Also were you able to locate and delete the cache.db file as discussed in Resolve "temporary activation expired" error for CS3 and Acrobat 8 ?

Thanks for your reply... sorry does not encompass my angst at this point. I have deadlines, am leaving for vacation in a few days and my Illustrator will not save files now!!!

All was installed perfectly. I followed the instructions at the above links and put in the new serial number which was accepted but now Illustrator will not "save as"  (it say "an unkonwn error has occured") and I can not use "save for web and devices" (window flashes then nothing happens).

Someone on this forum named Adobe Wendy Priestly (screen name: Adobe Wendy Priestly, email: forums_noreply@adobe.com) contacted me via message on this forum and then hooked me up on Skype with someone claiming to be on the CS6 sales team. He offered me CS6 at a very reduced price to solve my issues. what is going on, are you an official Adobe representative?

Kimr2817170 I am an Adobe employee.  We do not use Skype to provide support for customers and Creative Suite is no longer available for purchase.

You did post too multiple discussions so that could be leading to some of your confusion.  I would recommend that you click on the link to View the Full discussion, in the e-mail notification, to see the discussions in your default web browser Kimr2817170.

If you locate any error messages in the installation log, as discussed in message #3, then please update this discussion.

If there are no errors then I would recommend proceeding with your discussion at Reinstall of CS3 due to activation server shutdown causes "save" error in Illustrator to troubleshoot why Illustrator CS3 is no longer able to Save to Web and Devices under Windows 10.
