Illustrator CS3 installed ok on Windows 11, but won't activate

I was able to install my version of Illustrator CS3 to a new computer (using Windows 11), but it won't activate. I am, however, able to use it by bypassing the deadline to activate. I know the CS3 activation server was shut down; will I be able to use the app after the deadline?

Probably not. You can only try.

Oh well. I wonder how well I'll be able to teach this old dog the newest version of Illustrator. Ergh.

It basically still works the same. You do not need to use the new tools if you don't want to.

That's good to hear! Also, I just heard from Adobe Support that I can buy a perpetual license for CS6. Think I'll look into that. Thanks for your help!

That would surprise me. Adobe does not sell perpetual licenses anymore. So whoever you talked to, it wasn't Adobe support.

Oh swell. I forgot to turn on my pirate detector. Thanks. I'll be giving in
and buying, er, renting the newest version now. Wish me luck.
