Illustrator CS6 - copy crash

Hi,

Recently, I can't use the copy in Illustrator without it crashing.  [Error message:  Adobe Illustrator CS6 has stopped working.  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Please close the program.]  This error message happens twice.

Adobe Ill error.PNG

The menu option of <copy> will crash the program.  The keyboard shortcut <Ctrl C> doesn't put anything on the clipboard.  I've gone through my Company IT departments.  We've deleted the AIPrefs file, uninstalled and re-installed Adobe Illustrator and there is no change.

I've closed all other programs, so that Illustrator is the only program running.  Still crashes.

From the Forums, I tried clicking the File Handling & Clipboard options.  No change.

Could use some help figuring out what's going on.

Thanks.

It seems the issue was with Digital Guardian.  IT support has place my system in a special group, and now I can copy/paste again.  I hope this helps others with this problem.

Which system is that?

Is there any third party extension installed in your system that enhances the clipboard?

I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise.

Not sure about 3rd party extensions, but I haven't installed any.

When you're running Illustrator as only application then there's nothing else running? No browser, no email, no teamviewer or stuff?

Can you check if there perhaps is an update available? Adobe - Illustrator : For Windows

Also: can you create a new user account (Admin), then try if it works in the new account?

I checked for updates.  There weren't any.

I do not have admin privileges, so I can't create a new account.

Please have IT test if the privileges are an issue.

This post (#10) gives hints as to how to set them:

This will take some time.  I'll let you know how it goes.

If this doesn't work, is there something else that could be done?

Maybe someone else has another idea.

Finally tried the different admin privileges.  Still copy crashes.

I appreciate your time.  Wish it would have worked.
