    Hi there,

As everyone else on this thread mentioned, CS6 is definitely not compatible with Catalina or anything beyond MAC v10.9 (Older versions of Adobe Illustrator system requirements ). Please refer to this similar discussion for more details: WARNING! InDesign CS6 and Earlier Are Incompatible with macOS Catalina

I need to correct you. I'm running CS6 with macOS Mojave (10.14.6).

Only the installer needs to be "encouraged" to run, otherwise all programs run perfect (Acrobat, Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).

You should be aware that CS6 is not supported for any Mac operating system past Yosemite (10.10). Also, although a 64-bit version of Illustrator CS6 was released, I believe that a 32-bit version was also available. If you have the 32-bit version then that would further explain why Illustrator will not open in Catalina which will not allow any 32-bit applications to run.

Hi, Adobe Illustrator CS 6 is a somewhat obsolete version and, rightly, Catalina is a new and still not definitive OS and consequently there can be congruences.

Therefore I suggest you switch to a newer version of the OS and update Illustrator to the CC version, so as not to have compatibility problems or other problems.

    Hi,

You will need to upgrade to Creative Cloud version.

Also, Catalina is still under development and has not been released officially yet. You should test new software and Operating Systems in an environment that does not impact your work in case things go wrong.
