Question

Illustrator default black is not actually black

Most recent update to illustrator, the default fill black is hex code #231F20, not #000000. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a setting that I accidentally changed somewhere. Any ideas?

I'm on Illustrator 25.2.3

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. In addition to the suggestion given by Monika, I'd recommend checking out this community post(https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/can-t-change-illustrator-default-black-color-from-231f20-to-000000/td-p/10352867) and follow the instructions.

Hope it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh

You might want to set up your project with an RGB based document profile.

Don't just change the color mode, selsect from the web or mobile tab.
