Illustrator, Delete recent items from New Document window

Hoping for help here, when I go to File-New- New Document window opens, the recent items page comes up.

Is there a way to delete some of them.

I only use for pages sizes in metric sizing, A4, 3, 2 and 1 plus the largest 577 x 577cm.

If I try to give the size a name in the Preset Details it does not save it to the recent file name.

If I try to save the page as an .ait file in the Blank te,plates folder I get a ID - 5000 error

You may want to create your own New Document Profiles, either in the Illustrator Application folder > Support Files > New Document Profiles or here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/create-custom-new-document-profile.html

You need to have admin acces to add items to those folders, so it  is better to first save your file to the desktop and manually copy them to the folder (same with the templates folder).

To easily access the new doc profiles use Preferences > General > Use legacy "File New" interface.

Thanks Ton, I have created the pages sizes I need and dropped into the Blank Templates folder in the Cool Extras folder. Just  have to open as New from template, perfect.
