Illustrator export window

I'm currently running CS6 on a new 4k 27" iMac. When I go to export multiple artboards as separate jpg's I can't because the window layout is messed up! does anyone know how to sort this or is it an OS issue?

This is Sierra?

In that case it's a known problem. If it doesn't vanish when you resize the window (larger or smaller), it won't vanish.

It does seem if I squash the window as thin as it will go the tick box becomes visible! not the best fix but at least makes it accessible for now.
