Illustrator – Fireworks Error Message

When I have placed images in Illustrator file from images, I created in Fireworks I get an error message when saving the file and reopening it.

The message is: “This PNG contains data for Adobe Fireworks, which will be discarded upon save”

I would like to turn the message off, as it is completely nonsensical and a waste of time. Because I have over 50 small PNG images in one of my illustrator files and every time I open, close or save the file I need to dismiss this warning 50 times.

So clearly it is not discarding any info or the message would not continue recurring. I know Fireworks is not considered current, but this message is activated by Illustrator when I place a PNG image made in Fireworks.

Anyone who can give me an effective work around will save my sanity.
