ILLUSTRATOR GPU NOT AVAIABLE IN 2023

Same problem here. Tried everything, nothing worked.

Hey Matt - I just found the solution for my computer with the same issue. It was related to corrupted windows WMI. Try running msinfo32.exe and if it comes back with an error it's probably the same issue. 

To fix it run create the following script by saving all the below text in notepad. Save it as something like fix.bat then save it in C:\windows\system32\wbem. Open command prompt as administrator then type cd C:\windows\system32\wbem and hit enter. Now type fix.bat and let the script run. It might take a few minutes to register all the components. Once it's done restart the computer and it should work now.

Just adding to this thread as I am experiencing the same issue, and have also tried all the 'common fixes' which have not resolved anything. I understand OPs frustration as running on CPU alone is unbeleivably slow and completely ruins productivity, which is not acceptable from a programme with such an expensive subscription. Adobe please fix this asap.

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind performing a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and setting the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-110) and checking if it helps?

If the problem persists, kindly try to manually reset Illustrator's preferences and share your observations:

- Close all Adobe applications.

- Go to Location C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe

- Rename Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Illustrator 27 Settings folders to Adobe Illustrator.old and Adobe Illustrator - 27 Settings.old

- Relaunch Illustrator from Creative Cloud

Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders in case you want to. The location is mentioned above.
