Illustrator - Head Turn

Hi

I am using Illustrator.

I have created a character of myself.

The problem is my character is looking straight ahead.  I want to put my character on a bicycle so I need to turn my head a bit like I would be watching the road while riding.

I can't find how to do this. (Not animation). Flat character design.

It would be a case of redrawing to be honest...?

No, it's not like you can just turn the drawing and it creates a side profile...

I suppose it all depends on how detailed your drawing is, but once you get the hang of the standard tools in Illustrator it does become a lot quicker. Just be patient and you will see. 🙂

you could make a character in adobe fuse, that would be 3d and its easy to use.

you can make a character that looks just like the one you have. bring him into photoshop and turn him/ make images of the pose/perspective you want and place them in your design.

Adobe fuse is easy to use.

Could I not use the image I have already made?

you can't load your image into fuse and have it make the character. that is a nice feature to request.. you can open fuse, start making your character to look like the guy you have, than export it to photoshop.

I do have lynda.com. Thanks. Perhaps I could import the .ai image of the

woman's face into photoshop?

if you search adobe fuse tutorial on google and look in the video section you will find lots of videos if you don't have lynda.com

A lot of people would do this from a placed photograph and then trace around the main details to help with proportions, etc.

There are many ways you could be creating your drawing but if you have a look around online you will find plenty of videos like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AgLOeCLtYM that can help you. 🙂

I would also consider, that you get a silhouette or a vector character from a site like Adobe Stock, and just recolor it. There are lots of existing front, side, and back vector characters drawn that you could recolor and modify in Illustrator to make it your own.
