Two Questions:
If I want to remove the white background when working on the vector, how is this done. If I just want tow work on the vector with only the grey background, is this possible.
2nd Question: How do I save only the vector portion without all the additional graphics outside the actual vector. Also, is there a way to only see the graphics on the vector when working on the vector instead of having to see all the graphics outside it when working.
Thank You
What you call the white background is probably the artboard, which has no color but is displayed as white.
If so, select View > Show Transparency Grid will hide the artboard color.
If you want to hide temporarily the dots, select one of them.
Choose: Select > Same > Fill Color
Object > Group them if you want and choose Object > Hide Selection.

Hello,
Thank you for the response. I know how to do the transparency grid. There isn't a way to simply remove the artboard where it's just the grey area. Trying to work with the transparency grid is not easy on the eye balls. I also know that I could delete the outer graphics, but when there hundreds, this would be very time consuming. There's no way that I only see the graphics on the actual vector I'm working on instead of everything outside the vector. Thanks

Phillip,
One crude way is to select all the vector artwork and move it a sufficient distance outside the Artboard, work on it, and then move it back by the same distance, to have it place.
