Illustrator image coming our blurry from my laptop but not others who have the same file

Hi,

When I try to export images from illustrator using 300 DPI the lines and much of the image come out blurry or not straight. If I send the same illustrator .ai file to a collegue and have them export it the same way at 300 DPI it looks much better. I have the same problem trying to export TIF, PNG and JPG images. 

Is there some compression settings within my laptop or defaults that could be causing this? I'm not sure why its a problem from my laptop and not the illustrator file.

I also have significantly work resoltuion if I use the export artboard option over the export selection option and I'm not sure why.

Has anyone else had this issue?
