Illustrator Image Trace not working

Hi everyone!

I recntly updated my Ai to V 27.6.1. After updating I tried to:

Object > Image Trace > Create and Expand.

However, the program isn't doing it like it used to. Now I am getting a bunch of lines rather than a clean shape. What setting do I have wrong? What do I need to fix?

I uploaded files for everyone to see what I mean.

Download the old version and use it for tracing.

This is a public forum with 95% of people being not even staff.

Come on Adobe! Admit your mistakes and let us know when you'll have the issue resolved! If there's anything worse than an issue it's an issue that no one is allowed to talk about!

In the meantime I'll probably try to figure out how to download an older version of Illustrator...

You are not talking to Adobe in this forum. No company will talk about things that are beind developed.

You can go back to a previous version like 27.5 or earlier

In the CC app go to Apps > All Apps

Next to Illustrator you will see 3 dots

Click and select Other Versions

You can Uninstall Illustrator and install the previous version or leave the current Illustrator installed and install an additional previous version.
