Why is this happening when i want to select the shape with direct selction tool but illustrator is forcing me to select a node/line when my cursor is no where near it?
Hello, this doesn't resolve the issue, it appears that my resolution on my display was the issue, using a 4k screen on a mini laptop screen caused issues with the selecting things and illustrator understanding my cursor. Issue now resolved.
