Hello everyone,

A new issue started on my MAC with illustrator after the last update, and even after I reinstalled old versions

the issue is:

while I'm working on illustrator, everything is running very well and its super fast, but if i press on the Artboard tool to copy or create an new artbord ( even if I'm working on a very small size artboard with a simple text with no other elements) the program gos very very very slow and i have to close it and reopen it again,

My Mac specs are very high,

3.2 GHz 16 core intelxeon w - Memory 384 GB

8 TB SSD

GPU AMD Radeon pro vega II Due 32 x 2

Please if anyone has a solution for that

Thanks

The new photoshop is a disaster as well,  very slow and crashes down If I activated GPU in performance

the latest update is terrible, what is wrong, guys

I tried everything; even i checked all the hardware i have, and Apple support has run a complete scan on my MAC PRO

I'm working on Davinci resolve and After effects, and the computer is super fast, but photoshop is very slow and crashing.

I downloaded the older version of photoshop 22,0 it's a little better but its showing program error  every now and then

any Idea how to download and older versions the the 20.0

Thanks guys

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. I would request you to share a few more details like:

  • The exact version of Illustrator & macOS
  • Does this happen while working on some specific file or all?
  • Could you please share a sample file with us?
  • Is this happening with both old & new documents?
  • Does pressing cmd+e help resolve the issue?
  • Is GPU performance and Real-Time Drawing & Editing is enabled or disabled in Illustrator preferences > Performance?
  • Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates, plugins, or web extensions installed recently.
  • Where are your files saved (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System/ External HDD)?
  • Are you using TimeMachine?
  • Please share a screenshot of the power/battery settings in System Preferences

We are here to help. We just need more information.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi, thank you for replying

- I have the latest versions of Adobe Creative cloud, macOS Monterey 12.0.1

- it happens with any file, even an empty one

- also the Acrobat is very slow as well, scrolling down is very slow

- cmd + e doesn't help

- I tried enabled and disabled GPU performance

- no system updates were done

- saving files is not the issue, this problem is happening even when i create a completely new file

- No, not using time machine
