Hi illustrator keeps crashing or not responding each time i try and save files, when using patterns from the swatch panel. It never use to do this. I was copying and pasting patterns from one file and putting into another larger file. was fine with first initial saves. then crashing started. ive reset preferences, ive tried saving directly to desktop, ive resaved under a new file name, ive even thought it was the copying and pasting that might have caused this, so i then saved the swatches to the library and opened them in the required file and used them that way. But it still kept crashing. I dont understand why. I really need all these swatches to work . Ive spent hours creating them. Can i send the files for checking. Is there a non public email? Appreciate any help.

hi Ton ive sent another email today with more files. i actually think it could be a bug with the pattern tool. As today a filled square with a pattern when moved across the artboard would change its contents and other times when moved it wouldnt change its contents.

Shanice, you may also want to contact Adobe support, they can have a look into your system: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen

Hi Ton. In the past I've done that and they instructed for me to send the files in. So I thought this would be the quickest way. I spend ages waiting for them. However I haven't heard from sharewithai yet. Thank you

I am not from Adobe, so I cannot see your file, but maybe @Anshul_Saini can have a look.

Hi Ton . Sorry I thought you were, with all your knowledge and expertise. I tried messaging him. Not sure if I did it correctly. Haven't heard from him yet. Are there other people that can access the sharewithai email ? Thanks again

Hi Anubhav I've tried most of those things except the cloud cleaner. I've been experiencing my artboard being cut up. So I've reset preferences many times and then downloaded the illustrator version before the latest version. Each time I save any files it now says "converting text objects with variable fonts and coloured. "What does this mean ? Why is it saying this now each time I save.

Hello @shanice24820425yiyc,
Sorry for the delayed response. I hope the suggestions shared by Mike helped resolve the problem. If not, kindly share more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, system config (CPU/GPU/Memory), and a sample file (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/share-your-files-in-6-simple-steps/td-p/12967...), so we can investigate this further?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Anubhav
