Illustrator keeps turning my gradient graphic black

I have a compound shape as part of a logo, it's filled with a gradient (medium blue to light blue) ...every time re-open it, Illustrator has turned the graphic black! What is gouing on?

Can you provide screenshots of what you are talking about?

What system are you using PC or Mac?

What spec is your machine?

How are you saving the file?
