Hi everyone!
I am experiencing major inconsistencies with leading & kerning between computers. When text is formatted on one computer the kerning changes when viewed in AI on another, either not fitting within the text box, changing the size of the text box, aligning the text box along the page margin or creating inconsistent leading between lines.
I have double checked Preferences, Type Settings & have uninstalled & reinstalled Illustrator & fonts on the problematic computer, but they all are the same version and have the same preference settings.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Here are some screenshots for reference:
However this is the same exact text exported PDF from a different computer:

Have you tried making copies of the fonts that are on the "Good" computer and loading those onto the one with the problem. You said that everything was the same version on both computers so I am assuming that you are including the fonts in that statement. However, it is possible that the same version of the fonts manufactured at different times will have different kerning and tracking tables. This is fairly common practice with type manufacturers. Loading on exactly the same fonts could make a difference.

Hi Bill,
That's a great thought! We did reinstall all our fonts with the same fonts from the "good" computer & the issue still persisted.
What's funny is that there is only one computer with this persistent issue, all others work seamlessly.

But did you make sure that all other versions of the font (including system fonts) are closed?

Hi kezhiar,
I would like to know if the steps suggested above worked for you, or the issue still persists.
Kindly update the discussion if you need further assistance with it.
Thanks,
