Illustrator on Chromebook

Does Adobe have plans to make Illustrator available on Chromebooks any time soon? Or are there other Adobe programs that allow you to open and edit .ai files that I am unaware of?

Cloud based Chrome Os is used for under 5% of the market mainly at under 12 years education sector.

Porting resources-heavy applications like Photohsop, Illustrator,... to that OS is unlikely and hardly profitable and worth the try.

If you plan to use professional design applications use a real computer running OSX or Windowss not a extended browser on average devices,

Unlikely as you say but Photoshop can now be run on Chromebook

Hi there,

 

I am afraid, as of now there is no official word about this. This has been raised by a few other users as well. You may also upvote it here (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-feature-requests/suggestions/32951551-put-it-on-chromebook) so that we have a significant number of votes for this feature request.

 

This is the best way of communicating with the Engineering and Product Management teams regarding issues and suggestions so they can be implemented in future releases.
