Illustrator Open Window pops up everytime I switch back to Illustrator.

On Mac Sierra: Every time I switch to Illustrator, I get the Open Window popping up. It started today. I then updated to newest 2017 version, didn't change anything. I'm pressing command-period every time I switch to Illustrator. Major nuisance. Has anyone seen this behavior in ANY app?

Just typing my last reply, I realized I should shut down my macro program (which I hadn't altered lately)--and it seems to have stopped the behavior. Thanks for the response, don't want to waste any more of your time.

Since Illustrator has some different Open dialog boxes: can you please show a screenshot?

I think its what you typically get when you use command-O (its like someone is pressing command-O every time I switch to Illustrator, with other projects open or not.)
