Illustrator persistent display errors – circles appearing as multi-polygons / artboards offsetting

Question

Hi, my Illustrator has numerous frustrating display bugs such as:

Simple shapes appear as distorted jagged multi-polygons (see screenshot of a what is apparently a circle)
Artboards will appear to be offset by a few pixels (artboard extends larger than is actually there)
and many more.

I'm on a high performance M2 Max Mac and have updated to the latest AI, so this doesn't make sense to me.

Is there a solution for this?

Tom,

The shortcut toggles between GPU and CPU, the former sometimes being a bit unruly.

GPU is faster, sometimes too fast, so it gets ahead of itself and moves in mysterious ways.

Apart from an inadequate card, the issue can be caused by lack of driver updating, lack of proper recognition of the card by the computer, and whatnot (including rifts in the space time, moon, weather, and the fact that Illy (job description Adobe Illustrator, and she is always eager to help) sometimes moves in mysterious ways).

Tom, I believe the long answer is Ctrl/Cmd+E (hold Ctrl or Cmd and press E).
