Illustrator photo pexel after export

Hi,

 

I have an highresolution JPG cover photo. I use the JPG in my Illustrator document but after my export (export as JPG) the JPG cover photo is pexel. When I export to PDF the cover photo is perfect.

The last one looks horrible indeed.

There are options under the 1x (which is 72ppi) and by clicking on the cog wheel (het radertje).

Clicking the cog wheel allows to change the anti-aliasing settings, I would try Art Optimised.

Robin,

 

The fundamental measure is the size in pixels x pixels. If you keep that size, you keep the same quality.

 

For use on different monitors/screens you can try out different sizes and choose one that is sufficient vor the relevant use(s) on the relevant monitors/screens. Some (still) prefer the legacy Save for Web where you can set the size directly.

What resolution do you use to export to jpeg? The default is 72 ppi (which is low res)

As you said save as PDF is good because the high res data is kept.

Do you really need a jpeg (which will turn all vectors into pixels)? Why not use PDF?

    I export in JPEG because i need it for socials. I only can use JPG and PNG. 

    I dont see any resolution options when i export to jpeg.

    My text and everything else is perfect.

     

    I have screens of my work proces.
