Illustrator Press and Hold Right Click Issue

Currently I'm using a Huion graphic tablet. Everything works fine outside Illustrator, including Photoshop.

In Illustrator, once I enable "Support TabletPC" in the driver section for pen sensitivity, holding down the pen causes the circle to appear as well as the right click menu once I let go.

I have disabled "Press and Hold" in the control panel and I don't have this issue anywhere else except Illustrator.

I'm not sure if there's a setting inside Illustrator that I need to change in order for it to work.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

As well Monika has already said, the problem may be caused by the driver, try checking and reinstalling the latest driver Download - Huion

Huion has always had a problem with drivers.

Funnily enough, the most current drivers actually cause even more problems (including this one). The pen has times where it'll just let go even when its pressed down.

I have tried literally every version from 8-12 and all of them have this specific issue.

I will check again, as v8 drivers aren't loading up well (since they're from like 2013). Hope v8 can somehow fix my problems.

Try and install a Wacom driver on top of the regular driver and see if that works. You might need to try a little, which driver works best. And of course this is a hack that might not work at all. During the past years it has worked with Huion tablets.

Please: whatever the outcome is, post it here and tell us which tablet model exactly you have and which driver exactly helped or if it didn't help at all. This in turn will help others with the same issue. Thank you.

After installing a bunch of random drivers, I have managed to get the circle off. Apparently, once a wacom driver is installed, support TabletPC must be enabled and the hold+right click setting must be changed in the registry.

However, pen pressure isn't working currently. It's extremely weird, as I can use the touch calligraphic brush just fine and get pressure sensitivity, but I can't create my own brush with pressure sensitivity- the option is grayed out. Not sure why this happens.

I've managed to get it working!

I've spent over a month working on this now!

Sadly, I don't think this solution can help everyone.

First, you need to buy a wireless graphic tablet pen (the new ones from Huion).

Monika was right, Wacom drivers needed to be installed.

Most importantly, however, you had to use version 2015 drivers! v12, v11, v8, v9, etc. all have issues! Only v10 works.

Then you got to go through all your programs and check for any incompatibilities. Try deleting WinTab in system32- if a program is blocking you from deleting it, it is possibly conflicting with your drivers during installation and even after it's installed.

After all of this, I managed to get pen sensitivity, the random clicking issue, and the press and hold circle to be fixed.

If you're going to buy a Huion tablet, get something with the 8k levels of sensitivity! Their new v13 drivers are much better, but they aren't supported by anything that's 2k levels (which are for most of the older devices).
