Illustrator problems

I recently upgraded to Illustrator 27.7. Now objects, type and graphics disapear. I also get strange bits of text appearing in odd places that I can't select or remove. See below.

Did you already reboot the computer and reset the preferences (which will erase all your settings)?

I’ve already rebooted. How do I reset the preferences?

I reset the preferences but it didn't solve the problems

Yes I did both and it made no difference It's still deleting objects and adding strange text.

There were a couple of posts about text disappearing in 27.7

If the file was created in a previous vers, an you go back to a previous version to see if that helps?

In the CC app go to Apps > All Apps

Next to Illustrator you will see 3 dots

Click and select Other Versions

You can Uninstall Illustrator and install the previous version or leave the current Illustrator installed and install an additional previous version.
