Illustrator is unable to export to SVG using the Export Assets function in Illustrator 28.5. (So frustrating.) I did find a workaround I wanted to share, to save you the time troubleshooting. For SVGs:

Use File/Save a Copy …

I'm on Illustrator v 29.8.1

I'm getting these screens when trying to export SVG files, have done this for over a decade and, all of the sudden nothing is working for the SVG file format, will not save out no matter what I've tried.
