Illustrator Recover Files

Hi! 

My Illustrator app crashed and upon relauching it gave me the usual notification of recovering files but when the files opened none of them were at the stage where the app crashed but rather at the stage of when I first opened the file.

Is there any way of recovering my last version of the file?

Sorry to hear about this experience. There could be many reasons why the AutoRecover was not saved. I would request you to check the File Handling preferences for Illustrator and check if it's set up correctly.
