Illustrator resizing with fill

Illustrator Issues. Beginning and end shape made, and then used blend tool to create all pieces in between. I then expanded everything. Now I trying to go back and change the size of each one to the correct length I want it to be, but however, they dont have the same bounding boxes. I am able to change the first and last one correctly, but I am unsure why the others dont work. They are all also ungrouped. Any help on this would greatly appreciated. I have posted to photos to show what I am talking about. I tried turning on the scaled with stroke, but since this isnt a stroke and only a fill. It doesnt work when scaling. I just want to keep the same width when scaling and be able to scale right.

You might try selecting all (ungrouped) and going to Object > Shape > Convert to Shape. Might have to zoom in a bit to get the center handle on the bounding box, if you're using it.
