So lately I've had this issue with Illustrator where my program closes, and everything seems fine but then I check my task manager and see that it is still running and using a large ammount of memory nothing else. I cant end the task it does nothing.

I should also add, I'm running Win 11, Ryzen 3 3300x, Radeon Rx 5600xt, 32 GB RAM, and a 1 TB SSD that is mostly empty.

You pretty much answered your own question: At this point Win 11 is not even officially supported and anything is possible. The rest is impossible to figure out with such limited information. You would have to start by checking your event viewer and employ nerdy tools like Process Explorer and Dependency Walker. Likely that's simply some driver or system library crashing and not unloading. Perhaps you can also improve behavior by employing compatibility settings, but really, with an OS barely out for two weeks you could ask strangers on the street about such issues and it would be equally difficult to make an assessment. It's simply too fresh and too few people have made the switch.

Thank you, I figured as much it was the OS. It never hurts to ask incase its a simple solution.
