Illustrator saves up to 92% and then stops

Hello everyone, I have worked on a document for printing with Adobe illustrator, when I try to save it, when it reaches 92%, the program does not respond and after 10 minutes it warns me that the document could not be saved correctly, but it does not give me any error number. I have reinitialised the computer, the programmes, and tried to save it in PDf or EPS, always with the same unsatisfactory result. What can I do? Thanks

If there is any chance to get rid of the carbon fiber pattern that would be the first thing to do. This simply sounds like someone used a CAD fill for this and it gets expanded into a gigazillion paths AI can't handle. You may have to re-create it using AI's native pattern tools.

    I copied the texture and made a pattern, that seems to work and saves the data 🙂 Although it is a rather laborious process, it is the only alternative I have, Thank you milenium

    Please try and save that file locally on your harddisk.

    ALso: check all your fonts.

    Is a printer connected, set up as the default printer and turned on? If not, try that as well. If there has been an update to your system, check if the printer is still set up.

    Thank you very much Monika!! no fonts in the document, I have saved it locally, on the server and on USb, in different formats, on different computers, with the printer on and off but the results are always the same, "Illustrator" cannot save the document due to an unexpected failure". it doesn't give me an error number either, where I could find out more, I get the feeling that some task it has to do at the end of the document saving process is too big for the processor.

    Without any system information, details about the documents and their contents, save locations and so on this isn't going anywhere. Most of the time this happens when raster data is involved, i.e. large pixel images or raster effects on large shapes, but it's really impossible to know. You need to be much more specific.

    Thank you very much Mylenium! they are Pcs i5 SSD with graphics card Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti (8Gb) the document (of the client) has a carbon texture (vectographic) the document I can open it, work it, change the colours from Pantone to 4C process, but when I want to save it does it up to a certain point, depending on the computer (I have tried it with several computers and the error is repeated in all of them) it saves the file up to 92% illustrator does not respond for about 12/15 minutes to give a message that because of an unexpected error it could not be saved, I have tried to save it in different places, in different formats, I have copied it in a new document, but unfortunately I always get the same answer. I think the problem comes when it saves the document, up to a certain point everything works without problems but when it reaches the end there is some task that cannot be done and it gives the error message.

    I'm not sure I understand how you can re-open and un-saved file after you have " 'reinitialised' the computer, the programmes" doesn't that mean the file is NOT saved. Are you recreating it from scratch each time? If so, how?

    thank you very much! it is a document of a client, with a carbon texture where I have to change the colours, from pantone to 4C, I can open the document and work on it, but it doesn't let me save it, I have tried it with 3 different computers (PCs) and in all of them it is the same problem, when I want to save it (Ai, PDF, EPS...) it saves the document until it reaches 92% / 88% / 73%.
