Illustrator Script to work on non active document

Hi Sir/Madam,

Could any one please tell me to script an illustrator document with out opening it.we know to script a opened document we use app.activedocument.

Do you mean that you want to make changes to the .ai file using File.open(), File.read(), File.write()? That is, change the text or binary data?

I think there should be knowledge of the PostScript language, features of standard of the Illustrator document format., etc.

Then it will not "non active document", but an Illustrator file on the hard drive.

And what specific changes you want to make a file or document?

thank you..but i got solution..i want to delete a file..I got solution using filename.remove().
