Hello,
I'm working to convert multiple print files from CMYK coated to CYMK uncoated, and other color modes/formats that require me to recolor my print-ready artwork to different specific brand colors. I've always done this through the Edit Color>Recolor Artwork>Advanced settings panel in Illustrator. Within the past week, my program has stopped responding and ultimately closed every time I try to change a color this way or try to load a Color Book in the Recolor Artwork>Advanced panel. The files are not much larger than print-ready letter size.
I'm running...
Illustrator Version 26.0.3
HP ZBook Firefly 15" G8 Mobile Workstation PC
Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2
Please help.

Commenting to add: I have had no other issues aside from the occasional mouse cursor lag within Illustrator or a lag when I move an object every now and then but nothing else has been a consistent issue aside from my main Recolor Artwork issue.

How many objects and how many colors are there in your artwork?
Anything special, such as gradients, gradients meshes, symbols, text, spot colors, third party plugin artwork ....?

Nothing special and only ~3 colors per document with one small gradient in a logo. The documents mainly consist of just flat color shapes and text (aside from a small logo or two and maybe 1 image on some of the files).

When did you last reboot the computer?
And maybe resetting the preferences could help. But since you would ditch all your settings, you might want to rename the preferences folder as that can be undone in case it doesn't help
