Got the same slowness.  (even on MAC Pro 32 core, SSSD, 128 RAMS  etc.)
Every adobe app gets incredible slow. And yes the Activitmonitor does give any cleu what is slowing down the machine.

But for the last year, every Adobe update  is much slower then before.
And when apple updates, adobe gets another slowness boost.

To me it is not workable anymore. Illustror almost comes to a full stop!
Realy thinking about gettin g windows machines with Corel Draw or something.

Monterey has memory leaks. At the moment it will be difficult to find out whether this is a system issue or Illustrator issue.
