Illustrator swatches not saving in user defined lilbrary

Hello

Created color pallette from a photograph.  Saved it two ways to user defined swatches.  The colors are not there, only the name of the pallette is there.

One method I tried:

selected/highlilghted all the colors,  clicked on the hamburger menu, chose Save Swatch Library as AI, Typed in the name and hit Save.

Second method I tried:

After highlighting all the colors, clicked on the library icon, then save swatches, put in the name and saved.

Please help me figure out why the colors are not there!

On a Mac you should be able to find and open the swatch libray in User > Application Support > Adobe > Adobe Illustrator 27 > language folder > Swatches

Could you perhaps show us what you are seeing and tell us what you are doing to open the library?

I am having the same problem today. I've created a User Defined swatch palette and It shows up in the folder you mention above, but when I open the User Defined library from the application, it is not showing up.

Not showing up means it is empty or nothing happens?
