I'm having issues with the updated version cc2018 of illustrator. I can't transform with my cursor. It doesn't give me the option of selecting a shape by its corners and scaling it with my mouse. Any tips on how to fix this would be appreciated.
Is the bounding box showing? If not, go to View>Show Bounding Box (Shift Ctrl/Cmd+B). Maybe it wasn't turned on and if it isn't, then indeed you can't transform with the selection tool, it will just try to move the shape.
