illustrator user interface brightness settings problem

New Here ,
Jan 02, 2024 Jan 02, 2024

Hi.. I select dark theme from the illustrator user interface brightness settings screen. My screen is black at that moment, but when I close and open the program, the white theme appears by default. The black theme does not remain constant. I try the same thing in Photoshop, there is no problem. It works as a black theme. Could you help.

Are you referring to the Canvas color in the document?

Or the interface elements?

It is a user interface color. The whole thing.

1. the UI color turns into white from black when the Illustrator is launched.

it changed within 1-2 seconds.

2. On the shape tool icon on the toolbar, I see the blue circle at startup.

Please see the screenshot.

Do you have any third party plugins installed?

The blue circle from the post that you suggested doesn't look same as my problem.

The blue circle is not that big issue.

I want to resolve the UI color issue first. 😞

When was the last time you rebooted the system and reset the preferences?

Same problem here. I set Illustrator's Preferences / User Interface / Brightness to dark gray, that works while using. Then, if/when I close the program and reopen it reverts Brightness to white. I'm using the lastest update of Illustrator and CC, on Win 11.  I also have Photoshop and InDesign installed, neither have this problem. No third party plugins.
