Illustrator windows close when pressing any other place in screen

Hey!

I have been facing a problem with the window tabs. No matter which window is open, whenever I press on something else in the screen, the window closes. For example, when I work on the gradient tab, I try to eyedrop color. after I do, the window closes and I need to open it again to keep editing it.

Does anyone know why it happens?

Thank you 🙂

In the Preferences there is a setting that automatically minimizes the docked panels.

I found it but for whoever needs it- go to Preferences- User Interfacr- Auto-Collapse Iconic Panels

You may prefer to work with your panels expanded. If so, click on the double arrows in the upper right corner. This works on stand alone panels as well.
