illustrator won't open

each time i open the file, it just white screen when i click it, it freezes. Illustrator 2018. Just uninstalled and installed and restarted my computer, still can't open any files or just create a new file. .....

    When you uninstalled did you do it through the Creative Cloud Desktop app? The uninstall option is in a drop-down menu to the right of the app's name in the apps section (click on the "V"). Then before reinstalling through the desktop app did you use the creative cloud cleaner tool Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems ? It may be able to fix any system related problems involved in the reinstall. Also delete any preference files so that you can have as "clean" a version of the program as possible.

    I had the same problem. When double clicking the creative cloud uninstallation program the system also offered a repair option which I chose (instead of totally uninstalling). After that I restarted my Macbook Pro (version High Sierra 10.13.4). This was enough for me to be able to launch Illustrator.

    Which Windows?

    Where are the files located?

    Is a printer installed and turned on?

    Any third party plugins?

    Same issue here ... With the mention of the printer turned on i changed my standard printer to another one and thiss fix the issue. Evendo I need that printer spooling service for my work. I'm using a lasercutter and the printer that doesn't work anymore is needed for this. What can i do to make this spooler work again?
