image trace is outputting jumbled garbage and I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I attached a before and after of the logo I am trying to trace. Every time I trace it no matter the settings I use the trace comes out a jumbled mess and I am at a loss as to the cause.

whelp now I feel foolish the download I used of the logo came with both a png and an illustrator file so that solved my problem.

I would trace this in black and white. You can apply color later.

Then also go into the details and adjust the options for Threshold, Precision, Corners and Noise.

I have tried my best messing with the settings and I have attached the closest I was able to achieve with the settings in frame. I feel like I am going to need to hand trace this but that feels like it should be an unnecesary step considering how simple the logo it is. I just wish I knew what I was doing wrong.

You gotta play with the settings more - I don't know the resolution of your original, your sample looks pretty low rez, but even so I got this:

Without the selection box you should get a decent enough trace you can clean up.
