Image Trace Results 27.6.1

I may be missing something regarding Image Trace (27.6.1), but it doesn't appear to work as well as the previous release.  Prior to 27.6.1 I would be able to use Auto color, make a few changes to paths and noise and the artwork (color and linework) was always sharp and smooth.   I've tried to play with everything in the image trace on the current release, including using different pens, markers and papers (analog on the artwork), and I can't seem to get the results that would even allow me to continue.  I've gone back to the previous release.

 

Is anyone else seeing the same and/or any suggestions?  I like to stay current with the software release, but it would be difficult to contine my process.

    What is Adobe even doing anymore... why would you downgrade live trace to be terrible...

    Please provide your feedback at https://illustrator.uservoice.com with example images and tracing results (that is the important part). 

     

    The engineers read Uservoice, but not this public forum.

    In this forum we are 95% volunteers and our only interest is to help you get your job done, because we cannot change the application. We are not Adobe. Staff is marked as such.

    My results are similar.  Far worse with this updated version than previous versions.  I usually do a line drawing/sketch and use the sketch option in Trace which has worked great.  No amount of adjusting in this newer version gets me anywhere near what previous versions did.
