Image Trace

Has the image trace functionality recently changed? Mine no longer has the drop down selections of Hi Fidelity, Low Fidelity, 6 colors, black and white etc. Now it has hot air balloons with some of the same options but it is limited. Maybe I changed a setting accidentally? Also when I try and open the advanced tab everything disappears, the image Trace window still appears to be opened but there is nothing in it

The team has decided to revert the UI to the older one.

It is available now in Beta and is going to be released as a stable version soon.

Hello @Anthony29209073lev6,

Sorry for the delayed response. We understand that this might not be the experience you were expecting with Image Trace on Illustrator. To help get feedback for our product team, would you mind sharing more details, like the screenshots of the original file and the one after using Image Trace and details about the expected result, so that we can share this info with the team?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

I have the exact same issue. Huge icons instead of dropdown list, and clicking in tools panel for trace makes everything disappear.

Recent reports say the latest version is not up to the task. Try using an older version. If needed you can reinstall an older version of AI.

This just recently happened, I didn't install any new version, I just went to use it and it was like this

Probably you have set up Creative Cloud to automatically install the new version.
