Image tracing is not working well.

it happens to me too. I no longer can image trace a simple black icon. Usually, it will have a clean cut edges but now it just got crooked and left with many white spots around the object.\

If you want to spare yourself some trouble, open the Creative Cloud app and install the previous version of Illustrator. You can install that in addition to the current version. Use that version whenever you need to trace something. Make sure CC app doesn't delete old versions when updating.
