Question

Import layered PNG files from Fireworks into Illustrator

Since Fireworks is not supported any longer (sad after using it since it launched in 1998), I think it is imperative that we be able to import layered vector PNG files into Illustrator. Especially since I could import .AI and .EPS files into Fireworks. There should be cross-compatibility so I can continue to use my layered files in Illustrator, and not have to remake them all! This would be a huge improvement to Illustrator, and assauge the distress all of us users of Fireworks have! Please make it so!

Please post feature requests to https://illustrator.uservoice.com

Then try to get other people to vote on it.

It would probably make more sense to just keep an old version of Fireworks on an old computer for the sake of exporting the files to PSD. That should help with keeping the vector artwork as shape layers, no?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
