Importing a n ai doc with 16 artboards into ID.

I have an ai doc that has 16 art boards. I'd like to import them into ID. How can I do that? As of now it only improts the first art board. I read I could do a save as .ai and click use art bards but that option is grayed out. Many thanks! BTW_ all - CS 6

when you place (file > place, ctrl+D) an AI file in ID, there's a checkbox 'show import options' in the file select dialog box. check it and you'll get an option window that lets you flick between artboards. i don't think there's a way of doing it on the fly by dragging and dropping.

BTW - when I checked ALL i just clicked down the previously set up spreads and one by one - each artboard came in, in perfect order. What a lifesaver! Thank you again!
