Does anyone have a problem lately in Illustrator with copying files from the program to, for example, notepad? I always used to select text with ctrl + a, then ctrl + c and paste into some notepad, email, etc. And now it does not always work 😕😕 Sometimes I have to try to do so several times. After the program copy works normally Note: Renamed by Mod

Hello @Kuba2720195150pe,

I am sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind trying to run Illustrator after rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Haven't had the time for safe mode yet running either MS word or outlook seemed to make this issue appear. and some times i do need have illustrator running simultaniusly as at least one of those. is there a work around?

Hi Adrian,

I understand how frustrating it is to have this inconsistency with copying and pasting text, especially when Illustrator needs to run alongside other apps like MS Word or Outlook.

Unfortunately, the clipboard behavior can sometimes be affected by how the operating system and other applications manage resources, which is outside of Illustrator’s direct control. To help minimize interference:

1. Whenever possible, close other active applications when working in Illustrator, especially those that frequently access the clipboard.

2. If you’re on Windows, you can try setting Illustrator to “High Performance” in the Task Manager. This can help prioritize resources for Illustrator, which might reduce the issue.

I hope these adjustments may help stabilize the clipboard function and improve your workflow. Let us know if we can assist you with any other questions!

Best,

Anshul Saini
