Hello, previously the keyboard shotcut to increase or decrease leading worked fine (Alt+up/down). For a while, not only has it stopped working, but I can no longer find the place to change it in the menu of shotcut keyboards ...

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

I don't think that's possible without having an item in the Shortcuts list.

It was an Illustrator shortcut for years, until recently apparently because it doesn't work for me either

Decreasing or increasing the leading with the Alt key + arrow up/down or Alt-Cmd key + arrow up/down still works fine here in the most recent Illustrator version (26.3.1 on Mac OS 12.4).

Sometimes some other applications, plugins, OS system utilities etc. do hijack shortcuts that seem to exclusively dedicated to the application that is in focus.

You may check that.

This is an old thread, but keyboard leading adjustment wasn't working anymore for me either (alt+arrow up/down.) Incase anyone else has this problem, I found the preference screen to fix it. It's under the "Type" preference screen at the very top: "Size/Leading:"  You can insert your custom preference in the box.

Hello @Mads Jakob Poulsen,

Would you mind changing the size/leading under the type preferences in Illustrator to see if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

My shortcut is back 🙂

This was the issue. It is working just fine now.
Odd thing is I do not remember ever changing this, or having a reason to change it - it was set to such a tiny increment that the shortcut had no effect. Thats why it seemed like it was not working at all.

Thank you so much!!!
